We are looking for a Technical Analyst.

Working at our new laboratory in Watford you will:

• Be responsible for the analysis of pharmaceutical samples

• Be involved in method development and validation

• Be involved in the transfer of analytical methodology including writing protocols

• Troubleshoot HPLC/GC and pharmacopoeial test methods

• Be involved in regulatory audit preparation

• Process documentation and samples to support the maintenance of files covering procedures, methods, specifications, certificates and related documents

• Calibrate laboratory instrumentation in accordance with internal procedures

 

To fulfil this role, we expect applicants to possess the following skills/attributes:-

• A degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry

• A minimum of 2 years experience in HPLC, GC and Wet Chemical techniques

• Proactive with regard to solving laboratory issues

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry

• Excellent communication skills

• A team player

• Committed, flexible and pragmatic.

• Able to multi-task

• Able to mentor and train effectively

• Previous experience of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) would be desirable

• Awareness of Laboratory GMP, Health & Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.

We are currently recruiting for a QC Analyst to join our laboratory. This role is offered on a full time permanent basis.  Your main responsibilities in this role will be: 

• The routine analysis of pharmaceutical samples

• The completion of process documentation and samples to support the maintenance of files covering procedures, methods, specifications, certificates and related   documents

• The calibration of laboratory instrumentation in accordance with internal procedures
• Sample receipt, laboratory waste management and general laboratory housekeeping
• Ordering and ensuring column, standard and reagent availability for analysis and solution preparation to assist Analysts
• Regulatory audit preparation

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent
• Experience gained in the pharmaceutical industry particularly in GMP, HPLC, GC and Wet Chemical techniques
• Experience in solid dosage testing techniques is highly desirable
• Previous experience of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) would be desirable
• An awareness of Laboratory Health & Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
